Our 4th was great. We spent the day shopping. I swear it was the longest I have ever spent at the mall and I didn't want to leave, but all the stores closed early because it was a holiday. So, we went home and Kevin and Heather brought home El Rico's (really yummy chicken tacos). After dinner we were all tired and just sitting around. We were thinking we would just go to the park by our house to watch fireworks because we live super close to Schnepf Farm. At the last minute we decided to actually go to Schnepf Farm to watch the show. We got there just in time to pick our spot before the show started.
Ameliah immediately loved it. She kept laughing and clapping. She was so excited she kept jumping up off my lap and screaming. Cannon wasn't so sure at the beginning. He hugged daddy close and buried his face. Todd moved and sat sideways so that Cannon could see what was going on while he felt secure with Todd. After a while he loosened up and eventually liked it. He was trying to mimic the sounds Ameliah was making.
I was so sad that I forgot my camera. They were both too cute. After the show was over, we decided to just sit on our blanket for a while so we didn't have to fight the traffic to get out. The kids both ran around. I was surprised that Cannon did, because he usually does not to walk on grass. Todd and Kevin chased the kids around while Heather and I sat on the blanket and visited. The weather was perfect that night and we really had a good time. I am so glad we decided to go. It has been so fun to have Kevin and Heather here. I know that the kids will be sad, because they sure love their aunt and uncle. I will be sad, too. It has been nice to have my friend back. Heather and I spent a lot of time together while we lived in Illinois and I have really missed her! I think the next time I see her might be in November after they have their 1st baby.

Sounds fun! I know what you mean about missing family when they're gone- I get so sad when Brandon and Dani leave, too. If I could just convince Jared we should live in San Diego! You look so gorgeous in all the pics, I love your hair long :)
